In 2015, I almost lost my middle daughter Amber.

As it turned out, she was Aplastic and needed a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant. My family and I were blessed as my oldest daughter was a 100% match.

Without that, we would have had to rely on the National database.

People of Color comprise only 29% of all donors. Further, of the 29%, only 8% are African-American and directly effect the # of matches available.

My goal is to increase the donor registration by 25,000 people for all patients through the Be the Match Donors List.
